Of course, you can't just program a game with just C# [easily]. Hence, the tutorials here help guide you through using 3D engines as well as Physics Simulation Engines to As for Flash, well, Flash doesn't really handle 3D so well yet, but maybe in the future, we'll have tutorials on the Flash 3D engines as well (You can make that happen!!). Click on the links at the left hand site to get started! Tutorials for each programming language are categorised under their respective directories. |
10.1.09 - Open source projects often rely heavily on contributors to keep a project moving forward. Because no one gets paid, and it's often a part-time commitment, there evitably comes a time when a open source project will just die out. That happened to IrrlichtNETCP and ODE.NET. ODE.NET has some hope yet, because there wasn't an outright cessation of development announced. However, the details for IrrlichtNETCP were grimmer. The sole remaining developer of an original team of two announced his decision to cease support for IrrlichtNETCP. That means that IrrlichtNETCP will not have any more official development beyond Irrlicht 1.3. Sad news indeed for the Irrlicht community. But under the onslaught of alternatives like MOgre [Ogre port], TorqueX [XNA] and Microsoft XNA [.NET DirectX], fewer developers want to commit themselves to non-native implementations of a C# 3D engine. Hence, I've decided to focus all efforts onto XNA now. I've still haven't identified an alternative C# Physics engine, but there's many complementary XNA Physics engine out there, so I think I'll be using on of those soon. I'm not saying that ODE.NET and IrrlichtNETCP aren't welcome on the Wiki anymore. On the contrary, I welcome those who are still commited to using these APIs to come forward and provide quality tutorials for all to learn from and study. Adieu for now. 30.8.08 - How do you know if a tutorial's useful or relevant? When the author refers to his own tutorial for refreshing his own knowledge. It's kinda nice to know that the good that comes out of working so hard on this wiki, is that it actually proves useful in the long run - both to me and to the community. Yep. 20.7.08 - Yes, there's been a lot of Flash tutorials lately. It's kinda because I'm trying to gear myself up for a Flash project sometime in the future, so I'm doing little of anything else nowadays. But ... Flash is good, don't you agree? =) Newest Updated Tutorials! NEWEST FAQS!! |
